Observed restore
Recovery Path Walkthrough
A half-day sitting with an operator through one recovery path, from the first menu to the last confirmation, with a short path sheet afterwards.
A Recovery Path Walkthrough is narrower than a full usage review. We follow one restore or failback from the first menu to the last confirmation, at the operator’s pace, and we write a path sheet that matches the screens rather than a generic checklist.
This booking suits a team that already knows the weak step and wants it witnessed, or a lead who needs a single path recorded before a larger review.
Who it is for
Shift leads who need a single recovery path documented as it is really followed, not as the manual describes it.
The record you leave with
A one-path sheet: screens opened, pauses, skipped confirmations, and the point where the operator asked a colleague.
Scope
One recovery path, one operator, one half-day. A second path is a second booking.
Included
- Agreement on which restore or failback path will be followed
- Observation of that path on a copy or during a scheduled drill you control
- A short path sheet delivered within five working days
Not included
- Full usage review of every backup feature
- Rewriting your recovery manual
- Overnight coverage
Who attends from Backup Vertex Base
Tan Wei Ming from the Klang office, or Siti Hajar Abdullah when the recovery screens are primarily in Bahasa Malaysia.
How the work proceeds
- You name the path and the operator.
- We sit through the path once, at the operator’s pace.
- We return a path sheet that follows the same order as the screens.
Time
Half a day on site or on a shared screen, plus writing time.
Where we work
Your site in Selangor, our meeting room in Klang, or a remote share.
What to prepare
A recovery copy or a drill window you already planned. We will not press a restore on live records.
Limits
If the path cannot be completed that day, the sheet stops where the work stopped and names the blocker.
Rates
RM 2,200 per observed restore session. Additional paths are quoted separately.
