Terms of engagement
These terms apply when you book observation work, a briefing, or related visits from Backup Vertex Base. They are written for the service we actually provide, not for a shop or a licence.
Acceptance
By sending a request through this site, paying a deposit, or confirming dates in writing, you accept these terms. If you book on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind that company. We may refuse a booking that would require us to take administrator rights, press a live restore, or work without a named operator in the room.
The work
Backup Vertex Base provides observation, written usage notes, path sheets, and briefings about how backup and recovery features are used. We do not supply software, hosting, or recovery copies. Dates held in the Klang diary are part of the engagement; leftover hours are not banked as a retainer unless a quarterly series is agreed in writing.
Your cooperation
You provide a lawful place to sit, permission to watch the screens already in use, and operators who know we are taking notes. You do not send us production records, passwords, or personal data that the visit does not need. If a restore on a copy is part of a walkthrough, you control that restore.
Intellectual property
The usage note, path sheet, and marked briefing copy prepared for you become your records on payment of the remaining fee. Our method, blank sheets, and the wording of this website remain ours. You may quote the note inside your organisation. You may not republish it as if it were a public study of another company’s screens without our written consent and theirs.
Confidentiality
We treat feature names, operator remarks, and site details as confidential, except where the law requires disclosure, or where you ask us to brief a named third party. We do not keep copies of your backup files. Notebooks are stored at the Klang office and destroyed on a schedule described in the privacy page.
Liability
We are not your backup operator. A usage note describes what we saw; it is not a warranty that a future restore will succeed. Our liability for a visit is limited to the fees paid for that visit, except where Malaysian law does not allow a limit (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). We are not liable for lost records, delayed lorries, or decisions you take after reading the note.
Fees and tax
Figures on the rates page are informational. The quote in our email is the fee. A thirty percent deposit holds dates. SST, if applicable, is stated on the quote. Expenses such as travel beyond the Klang Valley appear as separate lines.
Cancellation and time
Rescheduling, deposits, and refunds are set out on the refund page. Time starts when we arrive at the named shift, not when a meeting room becomes free.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction. The practice address for notices is 2 LRG GUDANG NENAS SATU KAW 18,Klang,Selangor,41400,Malaysia.
Changes
If we change these terms, the version that applied on the date you paid the deposit continues to govern that booking. Later bookings use the version then published on this page.
